School Project Meets Career Path

I first fell in love with healthcare while studying Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at the University of Southern California (USC). During this time, I joined a clinical research team to study diabetes and obesity in the Latinx community, where I saw firsthand how research can directly impact health outcomes. With the help of some friends, we founded a chapter of the MINDS Foundation, a mental health organization based in Mumbai, India. As the Director of Communications, I led our digital presence, managed community partnerships, and developed outreach strategies—setting the stage for my project management and communication skills.

From Student to Public Health Professional

After earning my Bachelor’s, I continued to develop my research and project management expertise while completing a Master’s in Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My graduate work deepened my understanding of how data and strategic planning can influence healthcare systems and improve outcomes in underserved communities.

Bridging Strategy, Storytelling, and Operations

Today, I’m a Program Coordinator managing a diverse range of research projects in New York City. My role allows me to connect with various stakeholders and bring projects to life, all while advocating for impactful change in healthcare. I’m driven by the need to address health issues in underserved communities through storytelling, community engagement, and innovative project management.
